Blinded Soldier

Blinded Soldiers

Matthew Picaso is dreaming of sleeping in with his wife Jessica. They were newly wed. There were no screaming toddlers to wake them from their sleep on their day off. Unfortunately, his dream is interrupted rudely by the waking of two toddlers, who in turn are awoken by the persistent ringing of the bell by an insistent visitor.

Artists' Colony

Bluewater Business Quarterly Winter 2009 Issue
Allegra Nova

Bluewater Village is known not only for its robust business district, but also for its community of painters, architects, sculptors, photographers, and other not so conventional souls who do not want to be confined to one specific media or the other. With a husband who wants to dig his fingers in paints at least 4 hours a day, it becomes natural that the first article I would write for Bluewater Business Quarterly would be about the various artistic talents who have gathered here.

the boys who don't have their fingers in paints
Starting at home with the boys. Castor my husband was the ring leader of his pack of frat brothers to suggest moving here to Bluewater Village after graduating from SimState University. Kevin Beare was with him in his passion for paint brushes and canvas. The others tagged along simply because they haven't figured out what to do with themselves after college. So seven of us ended up cramming in one house that was only designed for barely three sims. Then to top it off, Jared Starchild called the adoption agency to adopt Naville, a toddler taken away by the social service from his mother after a tragic accident. So instead of practicing their art, both Castor and Kevin, along with the rest of us, were all too busy scrambling in our search for jobs, fights for the one single bathroom, and the accidents that follow pure sleep deprivation and exhaustion.

Everything that I am

Jill Smith

For half a decade, the military has manipulated our newspapers to promote its own agenda. Just because my father is not a naturally born citizen of Mandala, just because my father and half of my relatives look different, our lives were placed under surveillance, our privacy invaded, without our consent. Even though I look no different from the other kids in school, the back of my ears still burned with pure embarrassment while reading what other people wrote about my family on the Strangetown Observer. When my parents adopted Gabriella, for many nights, I had a series of dreams where Gabriella had her back against me, talking badly of my family to random people I have never met.

Monitoring of Alien Activities Continues

Strangetown Observer - Fall 2000 Issue
Editor: Tank Grunt

Aliens and their descendants have lived among us in Strangetown for a generation now. Many have already taken their presence for granted. Surely kids with alien heritage looks innocent enough, and some such as Jill Smith looks exactly like us. Yet who knows whether or not they have been programmed to subvert our society in some distant future? It is imperative that we keep an close eye on families with alien connections for public safety. General Grunt has assigned military officers to monitor the activities of two such families:

The Curious: Reconnaissance photos of the Curious family shows no subversive activities. However, another member of the family, Vidcund, got abducted by alien while looking through the telescope. Base on all previous cases of alien abductions, one expect another alien baby to be added to the Curious family in the future.
